How to apply

SCIE welcomes applications regardless of gender, age, martial status, religion or belief, ethnic background, disability or sexual orientation. A guaranteed interview scheme is available for disabled candidates who meet the essential criteria for appointment.

Applicants for board membership should provide:

  • A personal statement of not more than two sides of A4, summarising how you meet the person specification for the post of board member and also detailing any other commitments which you would anticipate continuing alongside your appointment to SCIE.
  • A full curriculum vitae including full name, address and daytime/evening telephone or email contact details (to be used with discretion), education and professional qualifications, career history, voluntary work etc, relevant achievements and responsibilities.
  • Names of at least two referees (who will be contacted only if you are short-listed for interview) and indicate your relationship to them.
  • Completed standard declaration form
  • Completed conflicts of interest form
  • Completed equal opportunities form

The deadline for receipt of applications at SCIE's offices is 9am, 15 November.

Interviews will be held at SCIE's offices in London.

Please make sure that you have enclosed all the relevant documents with your application and that you have taken note of the deadline for applications to be received.
